POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
PROTEIN CRYSTALLOGRAPHY
A postdoctoral position is available immediately for a protein
crystallographer to study the structures of molecular chaperones and a
protein drug-design target. The successful applicant will join a young
protein crystallography group that is part of a wider Initiative in
Biomolecular Structure (IBiS) at UNSW. The facilities within the
crystallography group include: molecular biology/protein chemistry
laboratories, Rigaku rotating anode generator + precession camera and a
cluster of SGI graphics workstations. Data collection will be carried
out on an R-axis II imaging plate system (at Sydney University, 15
minutes from UNSW) & at the Photon Factory (Japan).
The applicant should have a PhD in protein crystallography.
The salary range is $A36,783-39,495. The position is funded from ARC
grants and will continue for up to 3 years.
