Evans and Sutherland Freedom Card

E&S have a card that will run on various machines with a PCI bus, for 
example, those based on an Intel Pentium (see 
http://www.es.com/products/Pc.html).  They distribute an OpenGL library 
produced to run under Linux, which should make your PC look like an Indy 
Elan, or something like that for a total cost of something like $5k.

Has anyone tried it?  If so, how did it work?
