Dear Madam, dear Sir,
as a part of my work here at the Institute for Medical Microbiology
in Regensburg, I am looking for mutations in the gene encoding for the
hepatitis B virus surface antigen, especially in patients with the
unusual serological finding "anti-HBc alone". Unfortunately there are only
some predictions of the structure of the HBsAg in the common
literature, but I couldn't find any published work about a real 3D-structure.
Do You know if there is any group working on this topic or if there
is even an already determined structure?
This would be of great importance for the planning of my further work
and also for the interpretation of the results I hope to get, so I'm
looking forward to Your answer.
Yours sincerely,
Klaus M. Weinberger
