[Q]: Alternative input devices for graphics

I was wondering if anybody had any observations about alternative input
devices for use by graphics programs - we have buttons & dials boxes on all
our SGI's, and I have some experience with a Spaceball, but is anybody using
any other input devices that they have found useful for viewing/building
structures ?

Equally important, are there any programs that support them ?
