I've used Prosil(TM), Sigmacote(TM) and that nasty organosilane
that someone mentioned. I like Sigmacote(TM) best (not a commercial).
It doesn't guck up like Prosil(TM).
Also, as far as keeping the coverslips separated, a few people
had designs for trays made of plastic that I saw a few years back. If
your university has a machine shop, they can make one. Just like a dish-
rack in your kitchen, but a _lot_ smaller. Mine holds a whole box of
covers and it fits in a nalgene gel-stain box with a drain-hole in the
bottom. Pour in the water, etOH, Sigmacote(TM) washings in whatever
order you choose, and drain from the bottom.
