Scientific Programmer
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute is currently seeking a Scientific
Programmer for our facility at Yale University.
Responsibilities for this position involve working closely with our
research team in order to assist in the development and support of the
program X-PLOR for structure determination by X-ray crystallography and
solution NMR spectroscopy as well as provide information offered on the
world-wide web. Other duties include systems administration, maintenance,
and upgrading workstations (Hewlett Packard, Silicon Graphics, NeXT, and
Macintosh), peripherals, and networks. Requirements for this position
include knowledge of at least one of the following areas: biochemistry,
X-ray crystallography, or NMR. Extensive UNIX experience and programming
in FORTRAN and C are essential.
