Hello there,
who know's useful cryo protectants other than
PEG, glycol, glycerol, sucrose, MPD ?
My xtals tolerate glycerol but get destroyed on moving the loop to
the cold stream or freezing.
The precipitant ammonium sulfate doesn't allow sufficiently high con-
centrations of MPD or PEG. They will then phase separate.
As the 'propane technique' isn't yet established in our lab, I would
like to play around with protectants first.
What is your favorite method to take the loop into the cold stream?
Any suggestions are warmly appreciated.
