ANNOUNCEMENT
Enraf-Nonius NY Becomes Exclusive Agent for DIP Image Plates in
North America.
Nonius B.V. of Delft, The Netherlands, MAC Science of Yokohama, Japan and
Enraf-Nonius of New York USA wish to announce that effective immediately the
Enraf-Nonius Company of New York is appointed as the exclusive agent for sales
and service of the Diffraction Image Processor (DIP) and the Image
Plate Reader (IPR) systems manufactured by MAC Science.
This new agreement, which covers the USA, Canada and Mexico, mirrors the
exclusive representation agreement between Nonius B.V. and MAC Science
for Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Africa which has been in place
for two years.
Prior to this new marketing arrangement MAC Science products were represented in
North America by MAC Science USA with Dr Mark White as principal. Excellent
service was provided by Dr White and the successful introduction of
this product line to North America is due in large part to
his efforts. Dr White's decision to accept an academic position is
disappointing news to the customers and friends developed in
the field but the marketing and service expertise of the larger Enraf-Nonius
organization will assure continued support to all customers and an enhanced
ability to provide information to all.
As is well known, image plate technology has been highly successful in the
recording of diffraction patterns. All DIP systems offer
the important advantage of a vibration-free spiral readout and the
dual plate versions provide the high efficiency of recording on
one plate while simultaneously reading out the other.
Either as an additional detector to an existing X-ray source or with our new
model FR591 Rotating-anode x-ray generator a DIP system will provide
the most efficient and most accurate detector system for your
diffraction experiment and we invite your inquiries about this.
