Crystal and Structural Chemistry, Bijvoet Center for Biomolecular
Research, Utrecht University, The Netherlands.

The postdoc position is granted in the framework of the EU
RTD Programme Biotechnology and concerns a multidisciplinary
study of "Acetylcholinesterase: Structure and Function" in
collaboration with 8 groups (X-ray Crystallography, Computational
Chemistry, Synthetic Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular
Biology).
Our contribution to the project concerns time-resolved X-ray studies
on the mechanism of the enzyme and will be carried out in close
collaboration with the Weizmann Institute (Prof. Sussman).

The Department of Crystal and Structural Chemistry is part of the
Bijvoet Center for Biomolecular Research. This center includes various
groups (X-ray, NMR, Mass Spectrometry, Bio-organic Chemistry,
Biochemistry) and is a fruitful environment for structural biology
research. Equipment for protein crystallographic research includes: an
Image Plate detection system, several SGI workstations and various
biochemical equipment.

Applicants should send cv (including e-mail address), list
of publications and names of references to Prof. dr J. Kroon,
