POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS IN MACROMOLECULAR CYRSTALLOGRAPHY
Two Postdoctoral positions are available to study cytokine
and cytokine receptor structure-function relationships.
Available projects are at various stages from initial protein
purification to refinement and modeling. The laboratory
consists of state of the art molecular biology, protein
purification, and X-ray diffraction equipment (Raxis IIC,
DIP 2030, and 3 electronic area detectors). Computations
and graphical analysis are carried out on Silicon Graphics
indigo 2 extreme workstations, an SGI onyx, and the State
super computer. Individuals with a background in molecular
biology, or protein expression and purification are
encouraged to apply. Interested candidates should send
a curriculum vitae, and the names and telephone numbers of
three references to: Dr. Mark R. Walter, University of Alabama
at Birmingham, Department of Pharmacology, Room 268, Basic
Health Sciences Building, 1918 University Blvd., Birmingham,
