Postdoctoral Position in Macromolecular crystallography, Baylor College of
Medicine, Houston.

A post-doctoral position is immediately available to carryout atomic resolution
structure determination of baculovirus-expressed Norwalk virus capsids by
crystallography. Prior experience in protein crystallography and/or
computational biology at the graduate level or the post-doctoral level is
required. However, others who are interested in the structural studies by X-ray
crystallography and three-dimensional electron microscopy may also apply.
Norwalk virus, belonging to Caliciviridae, is a human virus with a distinct
architecture. It causes severe and endemic gastrointestinal disease in humans.
The selected candidate will also participate in structural studies on other
caliciviruses using X-ray crystallography and three-dimensional electron
cryomicroscopy.
