                POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE X-RAY CRYSTALLOGRAPHY

                             Available Fall 1996

THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY at Kansas State University invites applications
for a postdoctoral associate in small molecule, single crystal X-ray
crystallography. The successful candidate will be a member of Professor
Christer Aakeroy's (http://www.ch.qub.ac.uk/staff/personal/cba/cba.html)
research group with primary duties including crystal engineering,
supramolecular synthesis, computational chemistry, and
providing service crystallography (including air-sensitive compounds) to
other research groups in the Department. The facility consists of a new
four-circle diffractometer with a low-temperature device. The position is
renewable upon mutual consent. Ph. D. in chemistry or an allied discipline
with extensive experience in X-ray crystallography is required. Salary is
competitive and commensurate with qualifications. Send a cover letter, a
