THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA - Research Associate & Postdoctoral
Fellows in Protein Crystallography
Postdoctoral fellow and research associate positions are available in
the area of protein crystallography in the Department of Biochemistry
& Molecular Biology. Successful applicants will participate in
projects involving protein structure determinations, protein
engineering approaches and drug development. All necessary equipment
to carry out this work is available (R-AXIS II area detector,
molecular graphics, etc.) as are crystal forms of the proteins to be
studied. The available positions are grant supported and for the
period of one year, with the possibility of renewal. Salary level
will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Expected
start date for all positions will be June 1 or thereafter. Applicants
for the position of research associate are required to hold a PhD and
to have a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience. Applicants
will be accepted until June 1, 1997 or thereafter until all positions
are filled. In accordance with Canadian Immigration requirements,
priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of
