Revised meeting announcement: Signal recovery and synthesis

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT:

OPTICAL SOCIETY OF AMERICA TOPICAL MEETING ON 
"SIGNAL RECOVERY AND SYNTHESIS"

Kona Surf, Hawaii, June 9-11, 1998


This meeting is concerned with reconstructing images or signals
from partial information, particularly when the solution involves
the use of a priori information or constraints.  Examples are
phase retrieval, super resolution, tomography and deconvolution.

Researchers from a variety of disciplines, including mathematics,
optics, microscopy, medical imaging, geophysics, astronomy,
materials science, will be attending the meeting, which will
therefore provide a valuable opportunity for cross-fertilization
of ideas and techniques.

A session on x-ray crystallography is planned and Tom Terwilliger
will be presenting a keynote lecture.  Contributed papers on
x-ray crystallography are being solicited.

Abstract/summary deadline is January 6...or soon thereafter.
