Oxford Cryosystems is a leading provider of low temperature equipment 
and software for x-ray crystallography. At present the core business is 
the manufacture and sale of the very successful Cryostream Cooler, and 
the new software tool kit Crystallographica. We are located in pleasant 
modern offices close to Blenheim Palace, just north of Oxford, and can 
be reached easily by car or train from that city. We currently employ 
ten people, of whom three work exclusively on software development. The 
working enviroment is flexible and friendly, but a high level of 
professionalism is nevertheless expected.

The Job
---------
The successful candidate will be woking exclusively in the software 
department developing and maintaining Windows 95 software for X-ray 
powder diffraction applications. This will involve both devising and 
implementing data-processing algorithms as well as user interface 
design. Much of this work is part of an on-going collaboration with a 
large diffractometer manufacturer, but some will add to Oxford 
Cryosystems' own software product line. 

Qualifications
------------------
A good degree in a science-based subject and a high level of 
mathematical ability is essential. Familiarity with C is also essential, 
and some experience of Windows 95 development / C++ desirable. Some 
knowledge of crystallography would be a bonus.
