Dear imageplate users,
i2tif V4.0 has been released and can be obtained from:
ftp://ftp.mrc-lmb.cam.ac.uk/pub/ftp/jyl/i2tif-4.0.tar.gz or
ftp://ftp.biochem.mpg.de/lad/i2tif-4.0.tar.gz
i2tif converts all MAR imageplate file formats from
SGI, VAX, ALPHA and LINUX into 256 grey-level TIFF
files. There is also limited support for RAXIS.
V4.0 includes automatic byte swapping, VAX float to
IEEE float conversion and a new feature to display
the header contents of a series of files. This is particularly
useful to check for correct rotation angles in a series of
images. Radial scaling can be used to reduce the large
dynamic range present in high-resolution synchrotron
data. Precompiled versions for DUNIX and IRIX5 are
available.
