PhD studentship in protein structure analysis

A predoctoral appointment is available from September 1998:

   "Crystallisation and X-ray structure analysis of
   phosphofructokinase from baker's yeast"

Research will be carried out in close collaboration with European
Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), Hamburg Outstation, at the DESY
synchrotron, and will be funded by DFG and EMBL for up to three years.
Applicants should have knowledge in structural biology and biocomputing.

Crystals are available (Ombolova et al, 1998, Acta Cryst. D54, 96-98)
and native data. The work will involve solving the crystal structure
using available crystals and in parallel carrying out further work
on crystallisation and additional data collection.
