Crystallizatio help?

We're looking for help with our crystallization experiment.  We've been
trying to crystallize a protein that is missing its membrane-associating
domain.  All crystallization trials result in bi-refringent material in
"oil droplets".

Can anyone suggest an ingredient/condition where the protein will form a
crystal instead of form a bi-refringent "mess"?
