for some very interesting details on Xe and Kr derivatives:

Proteins (1998) 30:61-73 Prange' et al., "Exploring Hydrophobic
Sites in Proteins with Xenon and Krypton".

Marc Schiltz and colleagues have published a number of excellent
articles on this subject.
