There is a vacancy for a research scientist in the area of Molecular
Biophysics at Daresbury Laboratory to study structure function relationship
in metalloproteins which are involved in biological electron transfer and
the nitrogen cycle [Acta Cryst D53, 406 (1997)]. The Laboratory has world
class x-ray facilities at the Synchrotron Radiation Source. The research
team has excellent computing facilities and provides a stimulating
interdisciplinary research environment. Applicants should have a PhD with
relavant experience in protein crystallography. The post is fixed term for
a period of 2 years.
The salary range is between 15,180 & 24,820 UKP. Appointmen will normnally
be at the minimum but relavant experience will be taken into account, with
progression being dependent upon performance. A non-contributory pension
scheme, flexible working hours and a generous leave allowance are also
offered.
