The 7th International Conference on the Crystallization of Biological
Macromolecules (European home page: http://iccbm7.ugr.es/home.html, U.S.
mirror site: http://www.hwi.buffalo.edu/ACA/iccbm7-USAmirror/home.html)
will be held in Granada, Spain, on May 3 - 8, 1998. NASA, with the
support of the American Crystallographic Association (home page:
http://www.hwi.buffalo.edu/ACA/), will be providing financial
assistance grants to eligible crystal growers (presenters and students)
to allow them to attend the conference. Please post this e-mail in a
public place or pass this e-mail on to any of your colleagues and
students that you think might be interested in the grants.
The following text appears on the conference Web sites (Spain and U.S.):
Grants
There are a number of grants for young scientists and graduate
students to attend the ICCBM7. Request for support should be
addressed to the Organising Committee with a brief curriculum and
a recommendation letter by a senior researcher.
The Organising Committee would also like to help regular researchers
from developing countries. Please, send your application together
with the abstract submission.
Accommodation for granted scientist is envisaged at an university
residence charging reduced prices. Ask for this in your application
letter.
In addition, the following text appears on the American
Crystallographic Association Web site (ICCBM7 Travel Grant
Information: http://www.hwi.buffalo.edu/ACA/other-meetings.html).
It is expected that NASA, in response to a proposal of the American
Crystallographic Association, will provide limited support to
facilitate the participation of presenters and students at the ICCBM7.
Applications for support including:
1. copy of abstract(s) of presentation(s) at the ICCBM7
2. brief CV with list of major publications
3. breakdown of required and available travel funds
should be sent to:
