There is a new version of the CAOS (Crystal Analysis Operating System)
Single Crystal Refinement Suite, (by Camalli, Capitani, Cerrini, Spagna,
Cascarano, Giacovazzo) for download via the web (Windows, UNIX
and Open VMS).

CAOS links into the Sir97 direct methods software (CAOS is available
as a point and click refinement option within Sir97). Sirware website
is at:

There is a minor demonstration of using CAOS for refinement on
the web at:
  http://www.ccp14.ac.uk/tutorial/caos/cstiref.htm
(this Inorganic example does not do justice to the software as it
also has features such as automatic hydrogen placement, etc)
