Industrial Crystallography Positions
Genetics Institute, Inc
Cambridge, MA

The core technology group at Genetics Institute is housed in a separate 44,000 sq. ft.
facility, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The facility is equipped with the latest technology
for modern drug discovery including a 600MHz NMR, X-Ray lab, Computational and
Medicinal chemistry. The facility houses 70 scientists engaged in the discovery of novel
treatments of disorders such as Asthma and Rheumatoid arthritis. Crystallography at
Genetics Institute is a unique opportunity to carry out demanding crystallography on
biologically interesting targets that will be used in a drug discovery effort.
Genetics Institute has an outstanding publication record and has established itself as a
leader in Selectin biology and the role of cytosolic phospholipase A2 in the production of
eicosanoids.
The X-ray laboratory is a temperature and humidity controlled environment housing 2
X-ray generators, an Raxis II area detector and 3 Raxis IV detectors.

Following positions are available in the X-ray crystallography group:
Staff Scientist: Requires a Ph.D. and a successful postdoctoral
research in macromolecular crystallography.
Crystallisation Specialist: Requires proven track record in macromolecular
crystallisations or strong background in protein biochemistry.
Post Doctoral Researcher: Requires PhD in crystallography.
