Research Scientist Position In Structural
Biology
Applications are invited for a Research Scientist position at the
Hauptman-Woodward
Medical Research Institute in Buffalo,New York. The successful
candidate will join a
growing structural biology group and will be expected to develop and
maintain productive
independent research programs.
Minimum requirements are a Ph.D. degree with two or more years of
postdoctoral
experience in X-ray crystallographic studies of biological
macromolecules,
including structure determination by MIR and/or MAD phasing methods. A
strong
background in molecular biology, protein expression and purification is
preferred. Candidates should have a broad interest in how protein
structure
determines function, including soluble and membrane proteins.
HWI has an established reputation for major achievements in methods
development,
protein crystallization and data reduction and has state-of-the-art
diffraction
and computer equipment and protein expression and purification
instrumentation.
