As part of the LMGP Crystallography software suite for Windows
by Jean Laugier and Bernard Bochu:
(Laboratoire des Materiaux et du Génie Physique de l'Ecole
Supérieure de Physique de Grenoble http://www.inpg.fr/LMGP/)
One of the newly available crystallographic packages is
Orient Express for Windows.
OrientExpress makes it possible to orient a single crystal of
known unit cell dimensions from a single Laue pattern. This
pattern can be registered on a flat or cylindrical detector :
X Rays film, two-dimentional sensitive detector, bitmap picture.
I can be applied to mineral, organic and protein crystals.
The software can use spot positions from a file or can graphically
select spots from a DMP image file; and has an interface to connect
to digitiser tablets.
After indexing, OrientExpress then gives further options for simulation
and re-orientation that you can explore. This includes calculation of
angles to reorient the crystal.
A (superficial) tutorial run-through of OrientExpress is available at:

And the program (with example files) can be download from the LMGP
Crystallography software suite website at:
