Description: A postdoctoral position is available in the crystallography
research group of Prof. Helen M. Berman. The position requires a Ph.D. in
structural biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a closely related field.
Experience in X-ray crystallography is required; additional experience in
molecular biology and/or protein purification and biochemical
characterization is preferred. Projects will focus on protein/nucleic acid
interactions of prokaryotic transcription factors, including collaborations
with the laboratories of Richard Ebright and Jannette Carey, and will
include participation in protein purification and biochemical
characterization, crystallization, x-ray data collection and structure
determination.
