POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE IN PROTEIN CRYSTALLOGRAPHY 
************************************************************************

A post-doctoral position is available immediately for a full two years
period independent of commencing date, in the Institute of Inorganic
Chemistry, Germany.

Structure-function studies are focused on several metalloenzymes. The
goal of the current project will be the purification, crystallization,
data collection and subsequent structure determination of purple acid
phosphatases from mammalian and plant sources in conjunction with a
European research network.
The network consists of seven groups from seven different EU countries
or Associated States, and combines areas of expertise ranging from
medicine
to biochemistry and biophysics as well as organic chemistry.

Successful applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in the biological or
chemical sciences and will require experience in protein crystallography
including crystallization, data collection, data processing, model
building, refinement and analysis.
Experience in protein expression and purification will be of advantage.

The position is securley funded for initially two years, the salary will
be according to the German salary range BAT II a, an extension possible.
