Postdoctoral Position in Structural Biology

An EU funded postdoctoral position is available for two years in the group
"Structural Biology of Molecular Machines" at the MRC Laboratory of
Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK

The successful candidate will employ X-ray crystallography and electron
microscopy to investigate bacterial cell division at the molecular level.
We are particularly interested in understanding the structure and function
of the divisome, a large protein complex involved in all major functions
required for cell division in bacteria. Projects at all stages are
available. The salary will be in MRC pay Band 4 and is likely to be in the
range of £20,000 to £21,800 depending on qualifications and experience,
plus a scientific supplement of 3% (rising to 9% by 2002).
