I wonder how the guys at the MRC set up their server that the
automated cancels that keep the rest of usenet mostly spam-free are dropped.
It may be worth while to have them set it up right this time.

Under no circumstances assume that. Get a backup. You will be on
holiday or sick. Now we have mostly spam and some crystallography; if the
moderator is out of order there will me no spam and no crystallography.
