Andy Thompson and I are organising the microsymposium on
"MAD, SAD and difficult phasing" for the upcoming IUCr meeting in
Geneva. Our session is scheduled for the morning of Thursday 15 August.

We have reserved some slots in the session to accommodate late-breaking
results, to be chosen from the submitted abstracts. We are particularly
interested in case studies for difficult problems, especially those
that could only be solved by a combination of techniques. But we will
also be happy to consider other topics that fall under the umbrella of
this session.

If you're interested in speaking in this session, please submit an
abstract on the IUCr meeting website (http://www.kenes.com/iucr) by
the submission deadline of 1 March 2002. Please note that this is
advertised as a firm deadline: the submission form will be removed and
it will be impossible to submit late abstracts. In order for the
abstract to be forwarded to us, you have to indicate that you would like
to be considered for an oral presentation (under Preferred Presentation
Type), and select Microsymposium 85.

Please *don't* send your abstract to us instead, but do feel free to
get in touch to let us know of your interest.
