Does anybody know appropriate conditions for bringing up p-chloromercuribenzoic acid? I read in the literature that it is used at 2 mM, which means a more concentrated stock must be possible. I suspect that high pH and thiols will help, but I'd rather not waste this stuff in trial and error. Beilstein, Merck index, and literature asearches have been no help. kmj
