We would like to announce our new practical course taking place this
October at the Swiss Light Source in Switzerland.

4th NCCR Practical Course in
Synchrotron Data Acquisition Techniques in Macromolecular Crystallography

October 3 - 7, 2005
Swiss Light Source, Villigen Switzerland

Topics include
- Crystal stabilization and derivatization
- Data acquisition and processing
- Data collection strategies for difficult problems in crystallography
- Micro-crystals
- Theory and application of anomalous scattering techniques including
MAD/SAD and sulphur SAD phasing
- Instrumentation and experimental considerations of beamlines including
robotic crystal handling

The course is directed primarily to PhD Students and Post Docs in the
field of Structural Biology. The online application slot will be open on
the course web site from beginning of July to mid of August. The number
of participants will be limited to 20.
