The IUCr-MaThCryst commission, in cooperation with the IUCr Commission
on Crystallographic Teaching (CTC) and with the IUCr Commission on
Inorganic and Mineral Structures (CIMS), organises an International
School on Mathematical and Theoretical Crystallography at the
University
of Havana.

The school will consist in lectures and practical sessions from invited
lecturers. Poster presentations by the participants are welcome. The
school will also promote scientific and personal exchange between
participants.

Program

The provisional program is the following:

  * Group theory applied to crystallography (Marjorie Senechal)
  * Twinned crystals as polychromatic objects
        (Massimo Nespolo, Marjorie Senechal)
  * The mathematics of Polytypes (Ernesto Estévez Rams)
  * OD structures (Stefano Merlino)
  * Modeling modular inorganic structures (Giovanni Ferraris)
