A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the University of
Chicago, to investigated biophysical aspects of the function of ion
channels and membrane proteins. Over-expression and purification
exist for most of these projects. The laboratory is equipped with
state-of-the-art molecular biology and protein purification
facilities and has easy access to APS at ANL. Applicants must have a
PhD degree and should have a good background in biochemistry with
experience in protein purification and crystallography techniques.
Previous experience in molecular biology would be beneficial but is
not a pre-requisite. Interested candidates are encouraged to contact
me by e-mail: roux {at} uchicago.edu. Applicants should send a full
curriculum vitae and the names and addresses of two respondents.
