The Higuchi Biosciences Center at the University of Kansas invites
qualified candidates to submit applications for the position of
Postdoctoral Researcher/Research Associate to study lipid hormone
signaling by analyzing the structure, mechanism, substrate
specificity, and feedback regulation of lipid processing enzymes,
examination of lipid signaling pathways and the physiological role of
lipid processing enzymes using cell and animal models. Required
qualifications at the postdoctoral level include PhD in biochemistry
or related field, one years' experience working on a project with
either (a) focus on structural research--gene cloning, protein
expression and purification, protein crystallography; OR (b) focus on
lipid metabolism--the study of lipid metabolism and lipid signaling,
as well as an established track record of productive research in
either or both research areas as demonstrated by authorship of at
least two publications in peer-reviewed journals. Additional required
qualifications to be considered at the research associate level
include a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral experience in
biochemistry or a related field as well as a minimum of 3 years'
experience working on a project with either a focus on structural
research OR a focus on lipid metabolism. For a complete position
