Greetings all, back via gopher for the moment.

Magdala red is better known as phloxin B. It is used extensively by us
fission yeast types at approximately 10ug/ml. It should be added to agar
that is no more than 50-55 degrees, and the plates should not be stored
cold. They will last longer in the dark. Also keep the stock solution
(10mg/ml) light protected at room temperature. Can be used with rich as
well as minimal media.

REMEMBER the fission yeast vector data collection project! Send me info on
your new vectors and new markers for inclusion in the list, which will be
summarised here, and at gopher and ftp sites, and given freely to everyone!
