I found high levels of MET3 mRNA in yeast grown in glucose, but was
unable to detect any MET3 mRNA in yeast grown on a non-fermentable carbon
source (ie ethanol and glycerol). Therefore it would appear that the
MET3 promoter is regulated by carbon source.
