POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP available to use the yeast retrotransposon
Ty1 to study host genes that influence the rate of retroviral
integration and the choice of integration sites. Host mutations
with an increased rate of transposition will be isolated from
mutagenized cells. In addition we will examine the effects of mutations
in genes involved in DNA repair, ubiquitin conjugation, or chromatin
structure. The effects of altered chromatin structure on integration
will also be studied. For recent reference see: Liebman and Newnam,
1993, Genetics 133: 499-508.

Position available immediately. Competitive
salary and benefits. Applicants with experience in yeast genetics
and/or molecular biology are preferred.
