myc-tagged proteins in S.c.

Did anyone use the myc-tag to localize specific proteins in Saccharomyces
cerevisiae by immunofluorescence with anti-myc antibodies and what was your
experience? 
Surprisingly we found that the anti-myc antibody localized to microtubules
in control cells that do not express a myc-tagged construct.  Did anybody
observe similar effects with certain antibody preparations?
