DNA preps

Hello out there,

I am interested in preparing TOTAL DNA preps (including chromosomal and 
any linear plasmids that may be in the strain) from Saccharomyces cells.  
I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not a protocol that is used to 
isolate chromosomal DNA (like the one in Current Protocols in Molecular 
Biology) will also isolate linear plasmids from the cell.  Or are these 
two separate protocols?
