The reason for growing the transformants up in YEPD instead of
selective is that you will get a much greater number of cells per the
same volume.  If you are concerned about plasmid loss then the best
thing to do would be to do a direct comparison of growing your bait
cultures in YEPD and minimal and plating them out to onto both YEPD and
minimal plates and counting the % of colonies that have lost the bait
spontaneously.
