Colin,

I'm glad to hear that someone else has seen this phenomenon and that we 
are not just crazy!  We have been using pYES2 to express a monooxygenase 
and have found that in glucose, the enzyme was expressed at ca. 50% of 
the level achieved when the yeast were grown on 2% galactose.  Good 
thing we're not expressing a toxic gene product!
