 Dear Netters,

Ingo Greger wrote some days ago:

I already sent you a mail about 2 weeks ago, I'm not sure whether you
got it. I was wondering if there are any yeast chromosomal maps
available, showing open reading frames, direction of transcription and
spacing between adjacent genes - if so, can I get hold of them via
e-mail? Sorry to bother you again.
Thanks in advance!

Ingo Greger

MIPS has compiled graphics from the completed chromosomes which are available
as postscript files (45 kb per page in landscape) from our anonymous FTP
site.
Please connect to ftp.mips.embnet.org and see the
directory [.yeast.yeast_chr_maps] .

If you have any problems with these files please let me know!

Thanks Susi Liebl for the wunderful software XCHROMO which is also 'interactively' available from our WWW site for the completed yeast chromosomes.
(If you need a blow up for a particular region you may check on the WWW)

Hope this helps!

Good luck and have fun

 Karl Kleine
