A WWW text interface to PomBase is up and running at
http://www.sanger.ac.uk/yeast/pombe.html
Release 4-2 of PomBase for UNIX is now available from
ftp://ftp.sanger.ac.uk/pub/PomBase/
The latest version:
* PomBase now contains 53 analysed S.pombe cosmids from
the Sanger Centre's systematic sequencing of chromosome I. Where
possible these cosmids have been built into contiguous sequences.
* BLAST results have been brought up to date with the latest releases
of EMBL, SWISS-PROT and SP-TREMBL.
* The results of TBLASTX/BLASTN searches against the complete
S.cerevisiae genome are included
* The results of a Hidden Markov Model method for predicting introns
are included.
* GeneFinder has been tuned to predict S.pombe protein coding genes.
* Medline references, ENZYME and PROSITE records are updated.
