What do you mean by "streaks"? Streaks on the film? Streaks on the
Coomassie gels? Is it possible you have chunky acrylamide and occasionally
get particles which impede the migration of protein? SInce your markers
show the same thing I don't think it's due to your extraction procedure,
which sounds fine. You could, by the way, spin longer and harder.
Solubilized protein won't be affected by, say, a 2 min spin at 13,000 g.
Try a different batch of acrylamide and see what happens.
