The GSF-Forschungszentrum für Umwelt und Gesundheit GmbH in Neuherberg close to
Munich is a National Research Institution for Environment and Health. It is
organized in the Helmholtz community and is supported by the Federal Government and
the State of Bavaria.
Postdoctoral Position
A Postdoctoral Position is offered in the Molecular Radiation Biology Group of the
GSF-Department of Radiation Biology. The research project focusses on repair
mechanisms of DNA double-stranded breaks in yeast and mammalian cells, in particular
of proteins involved in non-homologous recombination processes.
PhD in genetics, cell biology, or biochemistry with broad experience in yeast
molecular genetics is essential; some experience in protein biochemistry and/or cell
culture techniques would be advantageous.
The position funded by an EEC grant is immediately avaible for 2 years on a fixed
salary (BATIIa).
