Dear Netters,
I have a question for which I hope someone may point me in the direction
of answering...in a rho0 petite, are mitochondrial proteins still
transported into the mitochondria and if yes, are they considered to
still be functional? It is clear that a lot of mitochondrial proteins
are nuclear encoded and it is difficult to know "how much" of the
mitochondria as such remains intact in the rho0 petite.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Marguerite
