UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON, SEATTLE, WA

Molecular Biology Post-doctoral Position
Factor XIII Mutagenesis and Crystallography

A post-doctoral position is available immediately for a
molecular biologist to produce mutated factor XIII for
structural and functional studies. The goal of this
project is to understand the enzymology of this blood-
clotting transglutaminase by studying designed mutants
based on the crystal structure of the native zymogen.

Experience with mutagenesis required; experience with
yeast expression systems and protein purification preferred.

There will also be opportunities for carrying out functional
assays and crystallographic studies with the purified mutants.
