The following positions will be advertised in Nature on 9.1.98:

Department of Biology and Biochemistry

Two research positions are available in Yeast Molecular Biology

The first is a three year post-doctoral appointment to work on gene
manipulation (cloning, knockouts, over-expression etc) and
characterisation (karyotyping, RAPDs etc) of genetically uncharacterised
strains of Kluyveromyces marxianus and Saccharomyces cerevisiae.  The work
will involve some travel to Latin America.

The second position is either a post-doctoral appointment or an
experimental officer (post-graduate) position depending on the quality of
the applicants. The position is for 15-18 months to work on the molecular
biology and genetics of stationary phase genes in Saccharomyces

Starting salary is in the range =A316,9272-=A318494 per annum for the post-=
and =A310,735-14,799 for the EO according to qualifications and experience.=
