Thanks to all the people that responded so quickly to my query about large ORFs! Having received several good ideas, one suggestion was particularly helpful: The YPD (http://quest7.proteome.com/search1.html) has got a possibility to select for protein size (220-260, 260-300 and >300 kDa etc.) in database searches.
